Visiting Old Town Spring

Being new to the area I had a hard time finding where a historic place was near by. I started researching and I came across Old Town Spring. I saw that it was 20 minutes away from where I live, which was PERFECT! Old Town Spring is considered an historic site because its been around for so long. The first settlers were a tribe known as the Orcoquisac Indians. In the late 1900's settlers started contributing on the development of the town. Railroads started being built as well. Finding out that railroad workers were the ones that named Spring was really intresting to me. The original name was "Camp Spring". Although later on the word "Camp" was dropped.

Walking into Old Town Spring did make me feel like I was back in the 1900's. The houses were built and painted so different from how houses are today.

The houses that are built inside Old Town Spring are all filled with antiques, clothing, and accessories for the visitors to enjoy and buy.
